For quite a while now I've been trying to mix a blazer into my wardrobe and look "casual" like the sales associates at j.crew. Every blazer I own I bought to wear as business attire so it should have been obvious that a business blazer would look utterly out of place when paired with jeans but for whatever reason, that thought never came across my mind.
Luckily for me, Lauren, of Edit by Lauren, offered up this genius tip to me in a blog post last week. There exists something called a "boyfriend" blazer....as in casual blazer. Kind of ridiculous I didn't know this before last week (especially since I blog about fashion!) but never the less it has been a real game changer. I took Lauren's advice and purchased both of her recommendations and ended up keeping this one (although they both are fantastic.) It's super comfortable, machine washable and can be worn with anything short of sweats. Win, win, win!!
Thank you Lauren, thank you Nordstrom, and thank YOU for not judging the fact that I didn't know there was even such a thing as the boyfriend blazer. If you don't own one, you should...oh and the one i'm wearing is on sale.
